Darryn Mandel has dedicated over three decades to physiotherapy, focusing on sports rehabilitation, orthopedics, and gerontology. A graduate of the University of Toronto with degrees in both neuroscience and physiotherapy, he has worked in various settings, including public hospitals in Toronto and the Northwest Territories, long-term care facilities, and Sports Medicine Specialists.
Beyond clinical practice, Darryn has contributed to the field as a clinical tutor affiliated with McMaster University, the University of Toronto, and Western University. His leadership roles include serving as President of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and as a district president for the Ontario Physiotherapy Association.
Darryn’s meticulous approach to treatment emphasizes efficiency and effectiveness, incorporating social and behavioral factors into a holistic and realistic care plan. He prioritizes patient compliance by ensuring a thorough assessment process that maximizes engagement and outcomes.
Outside of physiotherapy, Darryn is an avid athlete who enjoys swimming, cycling, running, weight training, tennis, and golf. His passion for gardening has also led him to spend time as a golf course greenskeeper.
